I spent my Friday night up at my studio until 2 a.m. reorganizing things for a portrait session I have on Sunday. Then I woke up at 6 a.m. for sunrise photos. Well, there wasn’t a spectacular sunrise. The sky was covered in clouds, with nowhere for the sun to shine through and create a colorful sky. So four hours of sleep really isn’t enough for me. It reminds me of when I was in college. So I went back to bed at 9:30 a.m. and slept until 1 p.m.
Here’s my favorite photo from the morning. It’s the Immaculate Conception Church on Caledonia Street. There are three head frames lit up in the photo. From left to right: Mt. Con, Bell Diamond, Anselmo. And between the church and the Anselmo you can see the unlit Kelly Mine.
