Lately I’ve been enjoying going up to the remnants of the mines near the Granite Mountain Memorial. Part of the reason I’m doing this is that I’m not sure when all of it will be torn down. Anyway, this is a wall that I’m assuming was part of one of the mining buildings.
It was raining over the mountains to the west when I took this photo.
This is the train trestle near the skate park that passes over Second Street. I was wise today and wore tennis shoes rather than sandals, so I could climb up the hill of gravel. The lighting was great. The sun was hitting the tracks and the trestle, and the sky was dark and gloomy.

I was at the Park Street Dance Pavillion for a while, taking photos of mostly the people dancing. This man kept lifting his daughter high in the air. I used flash and a slow shutter to show the movement yet freeze part of the pair.
