This strange propeller Is on the corner of S Washington Street and Aluminum Street. It’s fenced in, which I guess makes it so it’s not a hazard to children and other people. But it made it a bit hard to photograph. The fence is pretty high, so I was hanging over the Washington Street side of the fence.
Your "Propeller" shot is of a Ship propeller, not an airplane. It appears to be made of brass.
The back story would be almost as interesting as the photo (why it's there, where it was cast, for whom).
Must be a reason that it hasn't been sold for scrap.
Somebody told me this was a propeller for one of the old fresh air systems for the mines.
