Bouncing curls, laced shoes, ornate attire and Irish Tradition were great parts of this year’s annual Irish Feis put on by the Tiernan Irish Dancers.
I had the pleasure of photographing the dancers individually as well as snapping off a few action shots such as this.
Much Irish dancing is done with the arms held still at one's sides. Have you ever wondered why? Here's a symbolic explanation – the English and others held Ireland captive for centuries, yet such "chains" could not stop Irish feet from expressing joy in dance. My Mum's family comes from Kilkenny, BTW.
