Head Frame

This is a vew of a headframe on North Main Street in Walkerville. I’ve been trying to find the name of the mine, but haven’t had any luck so far. Hopefully Wednesday I’ll be able to talk to one of the volunteers at the World Museum of Mining and find out.

Fenced Out

This is a photo of the fence that blocks the way into the Mt. Con Mine area. The blurry background shows the mine. I used my little point and shoot again to get the closeup of the fence.

I’m pretty sure this is the Steward Mine, but I’m not 100% certain. I looked at this map and determined it was the Steward Mine, because it was before the Mt. Con Mine and after the Original, and was close to the road on Main St. If anyone can confirm that or dispute it, please …
